Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Norma J. Walker. She was the first female police officer hired in the Department of Public Safety’s Police Division, in July 1962. She was heralded as the first female campus officer in the Big Ten and one of the first in the country.

Feb. 14 Mansfield Public Safety Incident
Thursday afternoon, witnesses reported a man with a concealed carry weapon on the Ohio State Mansfield campus. Police responded and located the man inside Conard Learning Center at 1650 University Drive. Initial reports indicate no threats were made.
