Students are back on campus and classes are underway. On this episode of the City of Ohio State podcast, Ohio State’s associate vice president of Public Safety, Monica Moll, runs down safety programs, resources and the expansion of off-campus patrols.
Safety tips include:
- Use Rave Guardian to allow friends or family to track your location as a virtual guardian.
- Use CABS On-Demand for free, on campus rides.
- Utilize the Lyft Ride Smart student discount.
- Always lock doors and windows at home.
- Students can obtain free window and door alarms and smart plugs for light timers at 3106 Ohio Union.
- Do not leave valuables, keys or key fobs in your vehicle.
- Report suspicious activity, missing or stolen items to police.
On campus, call OSUPD at 614-292-2121. Off-campus, make reports to local law enforcement such as the Columbus Police by calling 614-645-4545. Always dial 9-1-1 in emergencies.
