Neighborhood Safety Notice: August 25, 2021

We are sharing the below information on behalf of the Columbus Division of Police for a crime that occurred in the off-campus area.

On 8/25/2021, at 2:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to Indianola Ave and Woodruff Ave for a robbery report. An Ohio State student was walking with some friends when two suspects suddenly appeared, pointed a gun and demanded his valuables. The student reported that he handed the suspects his cell phone, turned around and ran. The suspects then fled the area. No injuries were reported, and suspect details are limited.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-4545.

In an effort to share information in a timely manner, details may be limited and are based on information known or reported at the time.
