On 8/16/2021, at approximately 1:07 a.m., a male Ohio State student was robbed at gunpoint in the area of E. 16th Avenue and Waldeck Avenue, just east of Pearl Alley. The victim was walking west on 16th Avenue when a vehicle approached, the suspect got out and confronted him. The male suspect stole the victim’s cell phone before fleeing northbound in the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and Columbus Police are actively investigating.
Suspect details are limited but the vehicle he used to commit the crime is described as a white or silver four-door hatchback. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to call the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-4545.
