Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

In the News: Resources for Off-Campus Safety

The Lantern covered the many resources offered by Ohio State for students living off-campus. Among the resources was joint patrol, a program that features four The Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD) officers partnered full-time with the Columbus Division of Police to patrol the off-campus University District. 

"Our top priority is the safety of our campus community and we understand a majority of our students live in the immediate off-campus area," Dan Hedman told the outlet. 

The Lantern also mentioned discounted ride sharing, free window and door alarms, an online safety course and CABS On-Demand as valuable safety resources.
