Police Make Arrest Related to Overnight Crime

Police arrested an 18-year old man earlier today following an incident that occurred on campus around 3 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Two Ohio State students were walking near Curl Market, located at Woodruff Avenue and College Road, when a male who was unknown to them approached on foot. He pointed a bb-gun that looked like a real gun at them and demanded their belongings. The man did not obtain any property from the victims and quickly got in a car that had other males in it and fled the area. No injuries were reported.

OSUPD and Columbus Police located the vehicle, recovered the bb-gun, and arrested one person who is not affiliated with the university. The investigation is ongoing.
