In the News: Ohio State officer Horujko receives Distinguished Law Enforcement Valor Award for stopping campus attack

On Thursday, October 12, six officers from The Ohio State University Police Division were honored by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine at the 2017 Distinguished Law Enforcement Achievement Awards at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Columbus. Officer Alan Horujko was presented with the Ohio Distinguished Law Enforcement Valor Award for his swift response to the attack on Ohio State's Columbus campus in November 2016.

Officers Adam Tabor, Jason Becker, Dustin Mowery, Jeremy Allen and Lieutenant Brandon Yankanin were honored with the Ohio Distinguished Law Enforcement Training Award. Horujko nominated the group of OSUPD officers for the Training Award, as it was this group that readied him for the response he made to the campus attack.
