Community Police Academy and Outreach

Registration is open for The Ohio State University Police Division’s free Community Police Academy. The four-week program runs October 20 through November 10 and meets each Wednesday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. The class is hosted in Blankenship Hall and includes open discussion and scenario-based role playing to give participants first-hand experience through the eyes of law enforcement. At OSUPD, our goal is to build and maintain relationships of trust with our community and to learn from one another.

Participants will learn about or participate in exercises focused on:

  • Traffic stops
  • Building searches
  • Civilian Casualty Care
  • Participant scenario training

The program is open to students, faculty and staff of Ohio State and helps our officers better connect with the community we serve. Space is limited so sign up today!
