Neighborhood Safety Notice – April 20, 2021

We are sharing the below information on behalf of the Columbus Division of Police regarding a crime that occurred in the off-campus area.

On 4/20/2021, at 3:38 a.m., Columbus Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots around the 200 block of E. 15th Ave. Officers on scene were then directed to 288 E 14th Ave where they located a victim in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided first aid and medics transported the victim to the Wexner Medical Center in serious condition where he later died. The deceased is not affiliated with Ohio State. No further details are available at this time as police are actively investigating this crime and have increased presence in the area.
