  • OSUPD Welcomes Two New Officers With Pinning Ceremony

    On Friday, February 17, 2017, The Ohio State University Police Division welcomed in two newly sworn-in officers with a pinning ceremony. Matthew Catron and DeRon McIntyre received their OSUPD badges at Blankenship Hall in front of members of the division, family and the public.

    As a new graduate of the 14-month Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE) program, Deputy Chief Kimberly Spears-McNatt of The Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD), recently reached a high level of professional accomplishment.

  • Officer Blankenship honored on 20-year anniversary of death

    On February 10, 2017, the late Officer Michael Blankenship of The Ohio State University Police Division was honored moments before the puck dropped at the Ohio State men’s hockey game at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. The date marked the 20-year anniversary of Blankenship’s death. Blankenship was killed in 1997 in the line of duty, while responding to a suspicious person call.
