The Department of Public Safety’s Student Safety Service has a new look. Starting Monday, July 17, Student Safety Service employees will now be wearing scarlet shirts. The team previously wore white uniforms, but decided an update was necessary. Student Safety Service offers Safe Rides to students, faculty and staff from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., seven days a week.

3 OSUPD police recruits graduate from Columbus Police Training Academy
Three police recruits of The Ohio State University Police Division officially graduated as part of the 127th recruit class of the Columbus Police Training Academy. OSUPD recruits Aaron Patterson, Seth Cooper and Cole Cooper first received their badges as part of the Badge Presentation Ceremony on Thursday, July 6.

In the News: Ohio House and Ohio Senate honor OSUPD, Officer Horujko for response to Nov. 28 campus attack
The Ohio State University Police Division and Officer Alan Horujko were presented with resolutions from the Ohio House and Ohio Senate for Horujko's act of heroism in response to the attack on Ohio State's campus on November 28, 2016. Horujko accepted the honors with OSUPD Chief Craig Stone at the Statehouse on June 21.
