The Ohio State University has increased police and security patrols on campus and in parking lots and garages. The university and city of Columbus are in regular communication about crime and crime trends and Ohio State is working closely with CampusParc to review and consider installation of surveillance cameras at campus garages.

An external review of The Ohio State University’s expanded approach to off-campus safety praised the progress made to date and offered additional enhancements for the university and city of Columbus to consider.

WOSU Public Media recently interviewed Matt Wolfzorn, senior systems and operations manager for Ohio State's Department of Public Safety, about the emergency blue-lights phones on campus.
“We have a number of resources we use for safety and security across campus, emergency blue-light phones being one of them,” Wolfzorn said.
