In the News: Behind the scenes look at enhanced security measures

As reported by ABC 6, the news station took a rare look inside OSU Police headquarters, where a wall of monitors keeps an eye on all parts of campus and newly installed cameras in the University District. 

Satoru Persons, Director of Communications and Security Technology, Ohio State University Department of Public Safety, told the news outlet that cameras act as a deterrent for potential crimes and help provide real-time information to officers as they respond to calls, as well as a reference for investigations after crimes happen. He added that it is just one part of a comprehensive plan to keep students safe.
