The Ohio State University will invest an additional $2 million per year over the next decade to enhance safety and security on and around campus. The total investment is expected to be at least $20 million.
Part of that investment includes extending Lyft Ride Smart at Ohio State to include getting students to and from the Short North area along High Street.
Lyft Ride Smart offers eligible students discounted rides inside the university-designated service area. Service runs seven days a week from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., with the average cost expected to be $1 to $2 per ride.
