OSUPD to hold Memorial Ceremony on Friday, May 19 at 3 p.m.

Members of The Ohio State University Police Division will participate in the annual Peace Officers Memorial ceremony on Friday, May 19 at 3 p.m. outside Blankenship Hall, which is named in memory of Officer Michael Blankenship. OSUPD will remember Officer Blankenship, who died in the line of duty in 1997. Respects will be paid to other officers who have lost their lives, and the officers who continue to serve the university community will also be recognized. The event will include remarks from OSUPD Chief Craig Stone, playing of the bagpipes and a riderless horse. A short reception will follow the ceremony.

The public is invited to attend.
