Theft of Hyundai and Kia model vehicles has been on the rise in Columbus and nationally. Specifically, models that use an inserted key instead of push button ignition are being targeted by thieves as easier to steal.

OSUPD Gets New Wheels
The Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD) is using new, crime-fighting technology to enhance security efforts on campus. In early July, OSUPD purchased three electronic bicycles to add to their fleet of 15 mechanical bikes.

Police Make Arrests Related to Crime
Police have two suspects in custody in relation to the July 12, 2022 incident that led to the issuance of a public safety notice. Both suspects were arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary.
