Before you travel for spring break, be sure to take items of value home, including money, credit cards and ID’s. Record serial numbers of your devices. Lock all doors and windows. Students can obtain free safety devices for their homes, including window and door alarms as well as light timers. Disconnect electrical extensions.

In the News: New K9 Officer
The Lantern published a story on Ty, OSUPD's newest K9 Officer. The 2-year-old German shepherd from France joins a team of dogs that perform sweeps of Ohio Stadium and other event venues.
"A huge component of why we have dogs on campus is for homeland security," Officer Kyle Yeager told The Lantern. "Dogs have come to the forefront of for keeping large events safe."

OSUPD Welcomes Two New Officers with Pinning Ceremony
The Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD) welcomed two new sworn officers to the force with its pinning ceremony on February 17, 2023. Officers Nobin Rahut and Kevin Krasa, both Ohio State grads, received their OSUPD badge.
