We are sharing the below information on behalf of the Columbus Division of Police for a crime that occurred in the off-campus area.

On 1/1/20, at approximately 4 a.m., a female Ohio State student was sitting in her car near the intersection of Indianola Ave and E 15th Ave when two unknown males approached the vehicle. Reports indicate that one suspect knocked on her car window while another opened her passenger door and pointed a gun demanding that she get out of the vehicle. The suspects then drove eastbound stealing the car. No injuries were reported.

On 12/28/19, at approximately 9:22 p.m., a female Ohio State student was approach by a group of unknown male teenagers in the area of Waldeck Ave. and Norwich Ave. The suspects displayed a handgun and stole the student’s phone before fleeing the area in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

Columbus Police is actively investigating an aggravated robbery that began in the immediate off-campus area on Saturday afternoon. The victim is not affiliated with Ohio State. CPD's full media advisory is pictured (right) and the incident summary is listed below.

On 10/22/19, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a female Ohio State student woke up and observed an unknown male standing inside her first-floor bedroom. The incident occurred off-campus on E. Woodruff Avenue. The female screamed and the suspect fled through the bedroom window. The suspect is believed to have entered through an unlocked window. No property has been reported missing.

Two separate robberies occurred overnight (9/29/19) in the off-campus area. At this time, they are not believed to be related but we are sharing this information so the campus community can be vigilant and report any known details to law enforcement.

We are sharing the below information on behalf of the Columbus Division of Police for a crime that occurred in the off-campus area.

On 9/24/19, at approximately 1:36 a.m., police responded to an armed robbery at the Waffle House located off-campus at 1712 N. High Street. A male suspect showed a gun and demanded the two employees give him cash from the register. He then fled out the back door. No injuries were reported and none of the victims are Ohio State community members.

We are sharing the below information on behalf of the Columbus Division of Police for an incident that occurred in the off-campus area.

On Sunday (9/8/19), at approximately 12:30 p.m., a female Ohio State student was walking near Indianola Avenue and E. 15th Avenue when a car pulled up beside her. An unknown male driver motioned for her to get in the vehicle and then told her to get in. The female student said no and continued walking away. The driver then pulled away and drove north.

The Ohio State University Department of Public Safety has become aware of accounts related to possible occurrences of criminal drugging at off-campus parties and bars. Details are limited but law enforcement wants to remind all Buckeyes to take precautions.

On 11/30/18, at approximately 8 p.m., an armed robbery occurred off-campus near Pearl Street and Chittenden Avenue. An unknown male suspect approached a male Ohio State student, displayed a silver handgun and stole a backpack and phone before fleeing. The student ran to a nearby parking garage to notify law enforcement. No injuries were reported.
