The following crime occurred in:
On Campus

On 9/29/17, at approximately 11 p.m., a reported robbery took place on the basketball courts near the RPAC. An Ohio State student reported four unknown males worked together to steal cash from his backpack. When the student victim realized what was happening he confronted the suspects who threatened violence before fleeing westbound toward Ohio Stadium’s parking lot. No injuries were reported.

OSU Police is actively investigating and the community should report any known details by calling 614-292-2121. Suspect description details are limited. Information is being shared so community members can take precautions and be alert.

Victims are never at fault when crimes occur. We remind you to increase your overall safety by being cautious and looking out for one another; being aware of your surroundings and looking assertive; walking with a trusted friend or co-worker, when possible; if a situation makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, choose an alternative. Please do not leave valuables unattended and remember to lock your doors and windows.
