To support safe and efficient transportation during major campus events at Ohio Stadium, authorized golf cart operators are required to display a valid golf cart event access pass and follow all campus traffic and safety requirements.
Event Access Pass Regulations
The Event Access Pass is a vinyl decal that identifies authorized golf carts during specific campus events, like Home football games. A new decal will be issued for each event. Decals from previous events are not valid and should not be used.
Placement
The Event Access Pass must be clearly visible and securely affixed to one of the following locations:
- The golf cart windshield (windscreen), or
- The front plastic body of the cart
Passes must remain visible and unobstructed at all times while operating the vehicle.
Vehicle Verification
Each access pass is assigned to a specific golf cart and can only be used with the authorized vehicle.
The identification number on the decal must match the tamper-proof tag attached to the steering wheel. Any discrepancy, unauthorized transfer, or evidence of tampering will result in immediate revocation of the pass.
Identification Requirement
Operators must carry a valid government-issued photo ID or BuckID while operating a golf cart. Identification must be presented immediately upon request by law enforcement officers, public safety personnel or stadium security.
Compliance with Safety Personnel
Operators must comply with all verbal and signaled directions provided by police officers and traffic control personnel. Pedestrians always have the right of way.
Enforcement and Penalties
Failure to strictly adhere to these rules will result in the immediate forfeiture of the pass and revocation of access for the individual operator and all associated team passes for the remainder of the 2026 season.
Access Ohio Stadium During Woody Hayes Road Closure
Woody Hayes Drive closes three hours prior to major Ohio Stadium events, including football kickoff. Vehicles are strictly prohibited from entering Woody Hayes Drive during designated hard-closure periods. Plan routes accordingly; no exceptions will be made.
To Access Ohio Stadium During Closure
- From the east: Proceed south on Tuttle Park Place to the south side of Ohio Stadium
- From the west: Process south on Cannon Drive to the south side of Ohio Stadium
