You are receiving this notice because a crime has occurred that is considered to be of a concern and/or a continuing threat to the campus community.
The purpose of this message is to heighten your safety awareness by providing community members with information necessary to take appropriate precautions, enable you to take actions to help increase your safety, and to aid in the prevention of similar crimes.
Police are investigating two similar cases one which resulted in a sexual assault. In both cases female students were befriended by a group of males at a social event in one case, at a bar in another case. Both cases the females brought the males back to their residence hall rooms. The first case a theft occurred in Stradley Hall and was reported on 02-14-10 the second case occurred in Morrill Tower were the theft was reported on 02-27-10 and the sexual assault was reported on 03-04-10. In the second case the suspects are described as #1 M/B 6'00 medium build 19 years old, short black hair wearing a gray top and jeans. Suspect #2 is M/B 18-21 years old 5'9"- 5'10" light eyes (possibly hazel) dark short hair slender build, wearing black shirt and jeans. The second male also had earring studs in both ears and "nice teeth." Suspect #3 very heavy set 18-21 years old with short dreadlocks (that stuck out away from his head) wore eye glasses, 5'10" to 5'11" wearing a black jacket dark pants.
