You are receiving this notice because a crime has occurred that is considered to be of a concern and/or a continuing threat to the campus community.
The purpose of this message is to heighten your safety awareness by providing community members with information necessary to take appropriate precautions, enable you to take actions to help increase your safety, and to aid in the prevention of similar crimes.
On 4/04/09 at 17th and Iuka two female students report being robbed at gun point at approximately 10 p.m. The suspects are two black males, that left the area in a tan Jeep Cherokee. One of the victims was hit in the head with the weapon. Personal property was taken from both victims.
On 4/05/09 at 2:20 a.m. a male reported an attempted robbery at 14th and Indianola. The suspect is a male black 6’3" wearing a black sweat shirt with an attached hood. Suspect left the area in an older silver Dodge van. Suspect approached the victim and grabbed him. The victim felt the outline of a gun and suspect demanded money.
