The purpose of this message is to heighten your safety awareness by providing community members with information necessary to take appropriate precautions, enable you to take actions to help increase your safety, and to aid in the prevention of similar crimes.
UPDATE: 8/13/2010 12 p.m.
On 8/12/10 at 3:55 p.m., a male student was robbed by three suspects in the area of W 10th & Worthington Avenue. The first suspect punched the student in the face and took his laptop. When the student started to give chase, a second suspect appeared and pointed a silver & black semi-automatic handgun at him. The student stopped his pursuit and both suspects fled the area in a dark tan 4-door sedan being driving by the third suspect.
The first two suspects are described as black males, approximately 6'0" , early 20s, muscular builds wearing white T-shirts, dark jeans and black doo-rags on their heads. One of the suspects had braids and the other may have been wearing a white baseball cap. No identifying information on the driver. Reference OSU Report # 10-3304
